Well, hello fellow coffee and tea lovers. As some of you know Dave Scott has departed from CBB to journey to France with his adorable family. He, Betsy and JJ will a part of God’s work as a missionaries in Montpellier and will be starting a coffee ministry directed towards the young adults in the area.
I, Heather, will taking over Dave’s position. It has already been a month since I started working here at Fuller and I’m loving all of it!
This Christmas season we have added a few drinks to our menu:
Viva la Mexico
This is our take on the traditional Mexican hot chocolate. Rich dark chocolate and warm milk are mingled with full-bodied vanilla. Complete with a pinch of cinnamon and a dash of chili pepper.
Peppermint Mocha
Smooth espresso and milk are complimented by dark chocolate and refreshing peppermint. We’ll top it all off with whipped cream and crushed candy canes. Also, try our peppermint hot chocolate.
Eggnog Latte
It wouldn’t be Christmas without eggnog! Traditional holiday nog with rich espresso. Finished with a dash of nutmeg.
These drinks are especially yummy and guaranteed to put you in a festive mood!
I do hope that you stop by and sit a while. Meeting you is what I love so much about this job!
Merry Christmas!

Divine Chocolate is a Fairtrade chocolate company with a mission for improving the livelihood of cocoa producers in West Africa. The cocoa for Divine chocolate is grown in the southern regions of Ghana by a farmers’ co-operative called Kuapa Kokoo and is a very labor intensive job. The tiny blossoms on cocoa plants become pods. Each pod contains about 40 seeds, which become cocoa beans. The pods are cut from the trees and then split open. Next, the beans go through a process of fermentation and drying. The beans are then shipped by a Dutch importer to Europe, where beans are transformed into melting chocolate.

This eye- catching necklace is etched and dyed on sustainably harvested tagua nut, and was created in Ecuador by the Artisan group Camari, which means “gift”. This co-op began in 1981, due to problems that farmers and artisans of Ecuador were facing in selling their products. Because of a lack of markets, many artisans and farmers were forced to sell to intermediaries at a low price and could not make a living. Camari offers artisans and farmers direct marketing outlets and fair payment. Today, through the sales of their products, they are providing alternative employment to more than 6,500 farmer and artisan families.

Greetings, Bookstore fans! Quite often you ask us what we’re reading, and we’re more than happy to fill you in. We don’t always get a chance to hear from you, though, and we think it’s high time we heard about your latest intellectual meanderings through your favorite authors.
So send a brief book review to bookstore@fuller.edu, and if we post your review on Facebook, as a way of saying thanks we’ll give a $2.50 coupon to spend in the café or the bookstore. That’s a free latte or a few bucks off of that new Caputo book you’ve been eyeing (tell us about it when you’re done, will you?).
Please review a book that the bookstore sells. Just call us at 626-584-5350 or stop in to check if we regularly stock a book you’d like to review. Feel free to submit coursework too, but please limit your reviews to 1000 words.
We can’t wait to hear from you. In the meantime, drop by the store, tell us how you’re doing, and let us know in person what you’ve been reading. If it’s a Caputo book, we might just ask to borrow it. We’ll give it back—we promise.
Always asking what Jesus would deconstruct,
The Fuller Bookstore Team
